A video chat with strangers only works if people can trust it. That is why lulchat is 18+ only, has clear house rules and checks reports by hand.

  • The report button is always visible. A report skips the person at once and sends recent images and the text chat to moderation.

Yes. Video chat and text chat are free. You do not need an account, an e-mail address or a phone number.

Do I need to register or download an app?

No. lulchat runs in your browser on phones and computers. Tick the 18+ box and press start.

Who will I be connected with?

With a random adult who is online at the same moment, from anywhere in the world. You see their country and local time; they see yours. Cities are never shown.

Is it an alternative to Omegle or Chatroulette?

It works in a similar way: one stranger at a time, and you can skip whenever you want. Omegle closed in 2023. lulchat is an independent service with its own rules and moderation.

Is my video recorded?

No. Video goes directly between you and your partner. To catch nudity, occasional still images are checked automatically; images without findings are deleted immediately. Images are only kept when they are flagged or attached to a report.

What happens if someone breaks the rules?

Skip them and press Report. Reports are reviewed by people. Devices that break the rules lose access to normal matching, for a while or for good.

Can I use text only?

Yes. Choose Text chat on the start page. Your camera stays off and you are paired with others who chose text.
